Entitled Exhibition - 4th - 7th May

As part of Spike Open Studios and with Bristol Women's Voice, this show will be an opportunity to be introduced to - historical and contemporary - female artists. Women's voices are central to the show and the work on selected for the exhibition has been created within the cracks of women's lives - in those brief moments between responsibilities. We discuss inequality in the world today and consider the changes since Suffrage was attained. We look at how we are represented and affected by the roles that we are given, but never asked for. We look back at the creative work of past women and invite people to discover and share stories of lives and work that we may not have heard of. The show i

Murals in the Making

I have been a busy bunny, spinning quite a few plates of late. Two of them are mural related - one is a mural within a public space, where I have been tasked with designing a Bristol Skyline. This one has been a big job and three months in the baking stage. We are close to applying for funding, so please keep fingers and toes crossed that we are successful in our bid! The second is a community mural for the Hotwells and Cliftonwood Community Associated. This involves working with local children and exploring the theme of Suffrage, to mark the 100 year anniversary of (some) women winning the right to vote. Spike Open Studios

Fast approaching is the Spike Open Studio. I have new work available to purchase at this event, so please do head on over to Spike to see the wonderfully, talented artists who are housed there year round. There will be lots of events on during the long, bank holiday weekend and many of the studios will have open doors, so you can see where the artists create. It's a great insight into the creative process. Take some cash and curiosity and enjoy! More details can be found here:

Closing Event for Shape Arts 2018

Final call to see Shape Arts 2018! The Shape Arts show comes to its end tomorrow, Thursday 5th April, with a late evening opening to say farewell. Should you want one - or two - more chances to go and enjoy the wonderful Arts Pavillion, then there is a free event this evening, 6.30pm, in the form of a Q-Art crit. Then Thursday the closing event is on from 6.30 - 8.30pm, where you can enjoy the art, with a glass of wine and hear the winner announced for the People's Choice Award. This event is being run in conjunction with Whitechapel gallery's #firstthursdays. Thank you to all of you who have supported this show.
