Be there or be Un-Print-Centric

The Print-Centric party was last night and it was wonderful! We had a flowing, changing crowd as the evening progressed. The atmosphere was vibrant and buzzing, with artists sharing their process and inspirations with a keen audience. Thank you to all those who made it along - I had some great conversations and thoroughly enjoyed the evening! Here are a few, choice snaps from the event!

My Bristol Favourites Featured in Bristol 247

I found out today that I have been featured in Bristol 247 with my favourite things about Bristol. Check out the article here: My Bristol Favourite Things, by Amy Hutchings or see below for content: Artist Amy Hutchings is exhibiting her latest work at a collaborative exhibition, Print-Centric, at UWE Bristol’s Bower Ashton campus from July 14 to 31. The exhibition has come out of a scholarship between UWE and Spike Print Studio. Five professional scholars and five recent graduates were selected for the first SPS UWE Scholarship and for the last 12 months have been working on developing their practices, creating opportunities for cross-pollination of ideas and broadening creative network

Installing Print-Centric

We had lots of fun today installing Print-Centric. The work looks fantastic displayed together and I'm extremely proud to be exhibiting alongside such talented artists. The show opens tomorrow from 9am until 5pm and will run weekdays until 31st July. It. Is. Awesome! Don't miss out on seeing these artists pushing the boundaries of multidisciplinary printmaking. If you can, please join us for the Print-Centric party on Thursday 19th July, 5 - 7.30pm. There will be prints for sale and artists to engage with, alongside the traditional wine and music. The Children of Hotwells put their 'Stamp' in a Public Space

We have been working with Hotwells and Cliftonwood Community Association, Art Under the Flyover, Hotwells Primary School and the ELASC After school club to regenerate a wall on the Cumberland Piazza. Initially, artwork was generated via a series of workshops with the after school club, running from Hotwells Primary. The children were asked to draw their favourite things about where they live. The brief was responded to in very different ways and produced a plethora of wonderful illustrations.
