About Amy
Amy Hutchings is inspired by the everyday and overlooked, creating hand-drawn, hand-printed art. She loves to combine different print techniques, spray paint, drawn marks, working in an analogue and playful manner.

She adores desciptive line, vibrant colour and pattern.

With a strong, hand drawn, graphical quality unifying a diverse range of subjects, she has an eye on the trends and her hands on the squeegee, printing what she sees; using colour as her pencil and the world as her muse.
Always living near water, she finds the colours, smells and ever changing patterns of the river and sea fascinating.
Amy is passionate about the traditional processes of drawing and hand-printing, enjoying being physically involved in its creation. She loves embracing the quirks of process, and being engrossed in making and problem solving.

When not working on her own portfolio, she is an arts facilitator and educator, working with vulnerable groups. She currently works across four, residential care homes, for the RWA with mothers suffering postnatal depression and school age students with SEND needs. Amy delivers print workshops within the professional studio setting of Spike Print with Borderlands - a charity that supports refugees and asylum seekers, and she works across multiple schools and pupil referral units, as well as community groups.

She is passionate about sharing her love of creativity, and empowering others to find their visual voice.
