Happy 2026!!! I hope this finds you all fighting the January blues, and finding beauty in the little things as the world gets ever darker. Lets hope that 2026 brings stability and harmony to all.
For my very, Amy-centric news, my tax return is in, the offspring are back in school, and I am getting back in to the swing of things here at Amy HQ. January is flying along!!!
I had the most incredible/ bonkers run up to Christmas, at one point working 18 days straight, over two weekends, across commissions, selling events, facilitation workshops and gallery invigilation. It was wonderful, insanely busy, and fruitful! Thank you to everyone for your Christmas purchases, and for visiting me at the various selling events and galleries.
I thought I'd bring you up to date on what's been happening with:
My end of residency Exhibition, Private View and show at the Artshub
The World Reimagined Globe Commission
North Street Gallery exhibition, final weeks to visit.
SEND school workshops for the RWA, Care homes, new mums and babies, and Refugee sessions.
Artshub Harptree - Year-long Residency
First off, OHMYGOODNESSSSSS!!! I cannot believe that my artist residency over the last 11 months is close to completion! It's been an incredible opportunity, one that I feel very fortunate to have experienced. I have adored travelling to the Mendips and working, surrounded by the beauty that is East Harptree. The studio has changed the way I approach my practice, and the change of location (actually "going to work") has been so important for my development. I will miss having access to this space so very much. The address is artshub, High Street, East Harptree BS40 6AY.
To celebrate the end of this year-long residency, Emma Powell and I have decided to hold an end of residency exhibition within our studio. Our Private view will be on Friday 20th February, from 6pm - 8.30pm. We will then be open on Saturday 21st February from 11am - 4pm. Both of us will be showcasing our creations over the last year, with my offer including work for sale in browsers, and some framed. I will have a selection of large, one-off artworks, brand new editions, gift cards and a selection of previous, handpulled prints. Please do join us for drinks and nibbles at the private view, and perhaps indulge in a new work for your walls.
The World Reimagined has been a fantastic experience! During December, I was commissioned to create a globe for this wonderful organisation. Previously, I worked as an artist in residence at Orchard secondary school, encouraging and facilitating students to design and create a globe. However, in this iteration of the project, I was offered a commission, to create my own globe. The project was amazing. I truly felt the pressure in terms of producing something worthy, and imposter syndrome most certainly hit. However, from delivery to the collection of the globe was barely a month, so there wasn't time to dwell! Please find my statement for the concept of my globe here
Below are a few images for you. Should you be in - or planning to visit - Bristol, the exhibition is now open, until 12th March 2026. My globe is outside, next to the West entrance of the Bristol Cathedral, and facing Central Library (where my research for concept of this project began). Please do visit. There are 11 globes to view, some by fellow artists and others created with Montpelier High School. Many are outside, so can be seen 24/7, although there are three, to the right of the nave, inside.
North Street Gallery
I am still exhibiting work within the wonderful North Street Gallery, Bristol, until the end of January. The gallery is open Thursday - Sunday weekly, and is a collaborative exhibition of varied artists. It is such a strong show, and I am thrilled to be involved. Do head over and have a look if you have a chance, as we are in the final few weeks. Last opportunity to view the show will be Sunday 1st February, 11am - 5pm.
Last but by no means least, a quick update on my facilitation and educational sessions. I am continuing to work as Freelance Artist for the RWA Bristol, where I am currently delivering a programme of workshops across 4 SEND schools annually. The care homes continue to be a joy to visit, inspiring residents with a variety of creative endeavours, and the refugee and asylum seeker sessions at Spike Print Studio are still running once a month with a fabulous team of volunteers to support. My outereach work with the Artshub is still ongoing, with the most recent engaging local new mums in the Mendip area, and GP social prescribing workshops in the pipeline.
That's everything for now - there is so much to share. Thank you as always for being here, and sharing in this journey. Wishing you all a fantastic 2026, filled with adventure, laughter and joy.
Hugs and squeezes,
Amy x

Your reflections on the public art and exhibitions made me appreciate how creativity can completely transform familiar spaces. do my engineering assignments is a phrase many students search during demanding semesters, but visiting museums and exhibitions has always helped me return to my studies with fresh ideas. Art has a unique way of encouraging observation, patience, and creative thinking.
Seeing public art installations at Bristol Cathedral proves how visual creativity can bring diverse communities together in historic spaces. Art forces us to pause and reflect on our shared human experiences. While I was traveling to visit these specific cathedral exhibitions last spring, I hired a professional to do my mcgraw hill coursework so I could focus on the inspiring designs. Art has a way of making even stressful weeks feel lighter.
I enjoyed seeing how public art and exhibitions can make people stop and appreciate creativity. During a busy term, I wanted to visit a local gallery, so I used best online class help service and had enough time to enjoy the experience without worrying about deadlines. thap cam tv mới dạo này mình thấy có người nhắc tới khi nói về các nền tảng giải trí trực tuyến nên cũng thử mở vào xem cách họ bố trí giao diện ra sao.
