Following the fire at the Underfall Yard on 6th May, I have decided to put this print on sale to raise funds for two Just Giving pages - one page has been set up by Win Cnoops of Star Yachts, who had two sheds at the yard (one of which is completely destroyed) and has lost 6 boats in the blaze, along with all tools and specialist equipment. This page will support the replacement of specilalist kit for those boatbuilder craftpeople who work at the yard. The other recipient will be Joanna Williams, of Iron Fire Art, who has lost her entire forge in the blaze and has to start from scratch.
I often walk through the Underfall and the community is a special one. I feel very fortunate to have friends here and wish to support them following the fire and the loss of their livelihoods. Let's help them rebuild this unique and skilled space together.
I am reducing the price of this print, to increase affordability, as well as promising to donate £20 from each sale evenly between these two Justgiving pages. Price includes UK postage via second class signed for.
Here is the link to my online shop where you can purchase the Boats in Blue hand pulled, limited edition and signed print for £70, including UK postage.
*DUE TO HALF TERM, PRINTS PURCHASED FOR THIS FUNDRAISER WILL BE
POSTED DURING W/C 5 JUNE. *

Below is the original history behind my underfall yard print:
One sunny Monday morning, Amy couldn't stand the thought of being indoors, so she grabbed her sketchbook, made a coffee and went to the harbourside.
This is a limited edition silkscreen print based on a pen and ink drawing in Amy's sketchbook. One of a limited edition of 45, this is hand-printed onto Somerset satin, editioned, titled and signed by the artist.
Print size: 40cm x 20cm
Paper size: approximately 42cm x 25cm
