This was such a beautiful project to work on. I was commissioned to create a very personal artwork, as a 40th birthday gift. The recipient was born in Cape Town, but now resides in the UK. This piece was a special present - and one which was wonderful to do.
Without access to my usual print facilities, finding an alternative way to produce a print - whilst keeping my usual style - was a challenge. This was a combination of monoprint and stencil. It's an approach I'm keen to continue exploring.
